Iran to host Italian Film Week

Organized by Art and Experience Cinema and Italian Embassy, the Italian Film Week has been scheduled to be held in Iran.

During a program titled ‘Spotlight on Italian Cinema’, a total of five Italian films will be presented online for free on December 1-5.

The screenings will include ‘L’Equilibrio’ by Vincenzo Marra, Pietro Marcello’s ‘Martin Eden’, Nanni Moretti’s ‘Mia Madre’, ‘Lazzaro Felice’ by Alice Rohrwacher, Valentina Pedicini’s ‘Dove Cadono le Ombre’, and ‘L’intrepido’ directed by Gianni Amelio.

The film week was originally slated to open at the Iranian Artists Forum on February 20, 2019. However it was postponed to a later time because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Italian filmmaker Vincenzo Marra and producer Sergio Toffetti were also asked to hold review sessions and filmmaking workshops on the sidelines of the event.
